FAIDA Foundation was initially founded as Society for Community Organization and People Empowerment (SCOPE) back in 2003 by Mr. Fida Hussain Afridi, a career civil servant and a renowned social worker in District Khyber, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province (former Khyber Agency of North West Frontier Province of Pakistan)
During his elite service career as District Management Group of Govt. of Pakistan, he served the most impoverished areas and undertook tens of social work activities in official capacity to facilitate the most needy families and communities at large.
He served in various provinces of Pakistan including Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan and Islamabad as Assistant Commissioner, Deputy Commissioner, Commissioner and he was among the pioneer officers having been posted District Coordination Officer during the MLA regimes.
He obtained his Masters in Psychology from University of Peshawar and he was recommended for development studies by United States Agency for International Development (USAID) to Asian Institute of Management (AIM) Manila Philippines from where he obtained his Master in Development Management (MDM) in 1993.
His endeavor to work for the neediest communities nationwide did not stop him from establishing the FAIDA Foundation in the year 2008 and it was then that the charge of continuing the same endeavors was taken over by a team of social workers and professionals.

Addressing critical needs like poverty, hunger, healthcare disparities, and lack of education, ultimately aiming to create a more equitable society; this can be achieved by providing essential services, advocating for policy change, and empowering individuals to improve their lives.
FAIDA Foundation considers every communication to and from the Foundation and important part of its service delivery. However, due to volunteering work, delays in replying back to queries and requests may take time. Delays in returning queries/requests are regretted.
